Lords of Time Convention - Sylvester McCoy

Lords of Time Convention - Sylvester McCoy

The Lords of Time Convention took place in Auckland on Saturday to celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who.
Among the guest were the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Doctors - and Nicholas Briggs, the voice of the Daleks, Cybermen and Ice Warriors.

7th Doctor Sylvester McCoy was also in attendance - and let slip an intriguing teaser about his part as Radagast The Brown in The Hobbit. He revealed that Radagast The Brown will be in the final two Hobbit films, before quickly realising what he had said and keeping schtumm...

Here are some pictures from Sylvester's panel

5th Doctor Peter Davison celebrated his 62nd birthday at the convention - and also found the time to do an interview as well (which will be posted very soon)

In the interview, when asked about Peter Davison's involvement in the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Doctor Who, he said (direct quote) "I have plans but I can't mention too much about it at the moment, but there are plans afoot for something else..." But he wouldn't be drawn on what that means.

Anyway, here are some pictures from Peter Davison's panel:

Nicholas Briggs was at the Lords of Time convention in Auckland on Saturday, talking about his involvement in Doctor Who and Big Finish audio.

You can read my interview with Nicholas Briggs here....

But here's a series of pictures from the actual panel he gave.

He let slip that the Cybermen from the upcoming new Doctor Who episode written by Neil Gaiman are a bit of a departure from the Cybermen from the previous episodes. He's revealed that the new Cybermen don't speak as much - and also, Neil Gaiman's Cybermen are not from the parallel universe as we know them..... Is this the return of the Mondas Cybermen?? He also said they'd recorded lines in the style of the original Tenth Planet Cybermen through a vocoder - and also in the style of Tomb of The Cybermen...
