Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment yesterday announced Injustice 2, the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice™: Gods Among Us.  The newest game in development from the award-winning NetherRealm Studios features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favourite DC characters.  Injustice™ 2 will be available for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One in 2017.

Injustice™ 2 offers the latest DC fighting game experience that expands on the previous title’s larger-than-life showdowns.  Every battle defines you in a game where players personalise iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game.  For the first time gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes.

Injustice™ 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice™: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime.  In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk.  Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favourites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd.  Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis.

To celebrate the announcement of Injustice™ 2, fans who have downloaded the hugely successful Injustice™: Gods Among Us mobile game can unlock the Injustice™ 2 versions of Superman and Aquaman through the in-game Challenge Modes.  Released in 2013 and developed from the ground up by NetherRealm Studios, the Injustice™: Gods Among Us mobile game is available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play.

THE STORY

The Rehearsal will have its World Premiere at NZIFF 2016 We are thrilled to announce the World Premiere of Alison Maclean’s hotly anticipated adaptation of Eleanor Catton’s debut novel The Rehearsal as our Centrepiece Presentation. Unpacking the dramas that energise a class of budding young actors, The Rehearsal mounts an enticing inquisition of performance, identity and moral anxiety with resonance far beyond its hothouse setting. Starring James Rolleston, Alice Englert, Ella Edward, Kieran Charnock, Michelle Nyand and Marlon Williams, the film carries a potent extra-textual charge: there’s enough talent in this fictional drama school to constitute a real-world new wave. Kerry Fox plays the key role as a formidable drama coach. Fellow survivors, this past weekend we let you know that the upcoming season of The Walking Dead would be making its highly anticipated premiere this Fall. Next week also marks the annual E3 Gaming Expo, a celebration of all things video games, and we're preparing one of our biggest and most pivotal showings for Telltale yet.

This Sunday, we'll be revealing a sneak peek at the all-new season of The Walking Dead - The Telltale Series. There's been a lot of speculation since the conclusion of the previous season in 2014 on where the story will go next... and we've been working hard in the studio as well as with Robert Kirkman and our friends at Skybound to take the series in an unexpected direction.

What we can tell you now is that this new season will serve as both a bold new entry point for the story, as well as a continuation of the saga that began with Lee and Clementine in 2012.

Today, Ubisoft^® announced that Watch Dogs^® 2, the newest installment in the blockbuster WATCH_DOGS franchise, will be available worldwide on November 15 for the PlayStation^®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC.

WATCH_DOGS 2 is the product of over two years of intensive development by the original creative team behind the Watch Dogs brand. The topics of data security and privacy as well as hacking are more current than ever in today’s society, and the Watch Dogs brand has been exploring these themes ever since the release of the first opus in 2014. WATCH_DOGS 2 offers a fictional environment linked to problematics players can relate to, while offering a high quality piece of entertainment as they explore the San Francisco Bay Area with Marcus Holloway.

Players enter a massive and dynamic open world environment set in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the latest city to adopt ctOS 2.0, an advanced operating system networking the city infrastructure, and in the wrong hands, ctOS 2.0 can be used to invasively control and manipulate everyday citizens.

Players will explore the birthplace of the tech revolution as Marcus Holloway, a brilliant young hacker who has fallen victim to ctOS 2.0’s predictive algorithms and is accused of a crime he did not commit. In Marcus’ quest to shut down ctOS 2.0 for good, hacking is the ultimate weapon, and players can not only hack into the city’s infrastructure but also every person and any connected device they possess to trigger unpredictable chains of events. With the ability to take control of drones, cars, cranes, security robots, and much more at their disposal, players can choose whether to use stealth hacking to complete missions without killing a single enemy or go guns blazing for a more ferocious approach.  In this vast open world, players can hack their way through traffic while engaging in dangerous car chases through the winding streets of San Francisco, traverse the rooftops of the vibrant neighborhoods of Oakland, and infiltrate the offices of cutting-edge companies in Silicon Valley.

This latest collection of Storage Wars collects some 20 eps of the show from the 2013 season together.

And it's exactly what you'd expect from the show if you're a fan - a lot of arguing, posturing and poking around lockers to unearth treasures.

The format isn't exactly feeling tired and it's not exactly feeling fresh either - after a while the squabbling between Darryl and his enemies gets a little tedious but is obviously milked for dramatic effect.

Noteable for featuring episodes with Mark Balelo who committed suicide, this latest collection is a solid if unremarkable affair, that after some 20 eps begins to feel a little tired. Sadly the show's becoming too much of a parody of itself and a little less about what's unearthed within the lockers which was always the thrill of the chase.
