for TEKKEN 7’s official eSports organization

Social video platform Twitch and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe, are glad to announce today an exclusive partnership for the creation of the TEKKEN World Tour. In addition to being the exclusive broadcasting platform for this competitive gaming league, Twitch will manage TEKKEN 7 league operations, circuit events, and content on a global scale. The aim is to build the community and infrastructure to sustain long-term growth of the historic fighting game franchise.

Earlier this year, we announced Xbox Game Pass, a new digital gaming subscription service that gives you unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games for $9.99 USD per month. To ensure Xbox Game Pass provides the best experience possible for gamers, we rolled the service out first to the Xbox Insider Program, with a limited number of titles to test the features. Microsoft is excited to announce the next evolution of the Beam interactive livestreaming platform and introduce our new name: Mixer. 

More than just the name, we’re launching several of the features that fans have been asking for, including co-streaming, a beta for the Mixer Create mobile streaming app, a new moderated channel of content on Mixer called ‘Channel One’ and a new Mixer page on the Xbox One dashboard.

While the service will operate under a new name, the core experience remains unchanged. Gamers will still be able to interact with streamers and play together in real-time, as opposed to the traditional 10-20 second latency commonly seen on other platforms.

Be sure to tune in now to the Xbox Mixer channel for a full day of livestreamed events. During the all-day livestream, we’ll share more details and demo some of the new features rolling out, and the new Mixer NYC Studio will host a gaming marathon featuring a variety of streamers competing in a multi-genre esports gauntlet. The celebration concludes with ‘Mixerworks’ – an interactive firework show from 4pm Friday 26th (NZT). 

We’re also excited to announce that Xbox will be broadcasting its E3 briefing in UHD, with a special edition Mixer 4K broadcast for those with a 4K display.

MICRO MACHINES TO MAKE A TRIUMPHANT RETURN ON 23^rd JUNE

SYDNEY, 25^TH May 2017 – Codemasters today released the second gameplay trailer for the eagerly anticipated Micro Machines World Series ahead of its release on PlayStation® 4, Xbox One and Steam (PC) on 23^rd June. Racing has always been at the heart of Micro Machines, and Micro Machines World Series sees that heart beat back into action. With hundreds of customisations available, you can race in style and make sure you are seen on the start line. Chief Game Designer Gavin Cooper says: “For the first time in a Micro Machines game, every car has its own entirely distinct personality... and arsenal! Each gives players a different way to play and enjoy the game, meaning fans of the series will have plenty to sink their teeth into.”

“Players will quickly gain an affinity with a particular vehicle and find it suits their style of play.” and continued “You can master one vehicle collecting all the 25+ customisations, but then have a whole host of variety choosing and mastering all the other vehicles in the game”.

Each vehicle has a slightly different feel, and even sound, in Micro Machines World Series. Choose from 12 very individual vehicles, from the twitchy but agile rear wheel drive hotrod of El Incendio to the scarily good all-rounder of Hank N. Stein’s monster truck.

Micro Machines World Series also boasts a great mix of classic and new tracks and arenas. Art Director Stuart Campbell says: “new locations like the workshop complement Micro Machines classics like the games room and classroom. Dodging pool balls while trying to shoot a G.I. JOE MOBAT has never looked so good or felt so fun!”

Players will also pick up items on the track in the form of Hasbro branded NERF blasters and NERF power-ups. All these can be deployed in and around Hasbro branded locations including a Ouija board or driving across a Hungry Hungry Hippos battle.

The huge and unmistakable voice talent of Brian Blessed OBE is once again excitedly alerting you to all the madness and chaotic mayhem - commentating on the action as players race and battle for the win.

When you try to bring down your clan’s shaman by spilling a sacred ‘bowel bowl’ filled with steaming guts that is being used to open terrifying windows into ‘The Other Place,’ and you just get sucked through the windows into the Realms where you are doomed to spend eternity battling against cruel Champions in the name of glory… you’re having bad day.

That’s the story of Sorlag (read more at www.Quake.com). A vicious and prideful reptilian huntress from a post-apocalyptic alien planet. This Sorg flesh-trader stalks her prey in the Arenas armed with her deadly Acid Spit, coating the environment and enemies in a sticky toxic sputum. This Active Ability deals direct damage to any Champions that are careless enough to pass through as well as additional poison damage over time as it seeps into their flesh.

Sorlag’s reputation as a hunter awards her two Passive Abilities, helping her nimbly move through matches and protecting her from her own – and other Sorlags’ - vile fluids.

Active Ability – Acid Spit: Have an enemy pinned in a corner or want to protect the Obelisk in Sacrifice? Sorlag’s Acid Spit is the perfect added weapon to finish off foes or help control key pathways and locations. Spray it on enemies, on the floor, or on the walls and anyone who passes through will take immediate damage as well as become poisoned, taking additional damage over time.
 
Passive Abilities: Sorlag has two Passives. First, Bunny Hop allows her to gain speed while jumping forward in a straight line and grants her a great deal of maneuverability while in the air. Second, her Acid Fiend ability means that she’s protected from her own Acid Spit, as well as the Acid Spit of enemy Sorlags.
