A remake of the 90s Pac-Man World, Pac Man World: Re-PAC is a curious platforming entry.

A 3D platformer that sees you taking control of Pac-Man as he heads to Ghost Island to free his family, this latest remake has just something about it as you pelt around the world, collecting pellets and taking out troublesome ghosts.

Simplicity is the key here, as you saunter from level to level, with an ease of playability that's probably best suited to the younger end of the gaming market.

The game has multiple modes with Quest Mode, a Maze Mode that brings classic PAC-MAN game play to 3D mazes, and a complete version of the original game in Original Mode that players can unlock by completing the main game.

In the main Quest Mode experience, players use a variety of attacks and abilities, including powerups, as they run, jump, solve puzzles, and of-course chomp their way through six exciting worlds of Ghost Island.

As with any Pac-Man game, fruits are along for the ride and they open up new portions of the levels, as well as the points at the end.

Pac Man World: Re-PAC won't change the world in terms of platforming gaming, but given how many Pac-Man games have felt like lazy cash-ins, this latest is a nicely polished salute to what makes Pac-Man so iconic and playable.
