Before you start singing Gunbrella to the tune of a certain Rihanna song, it's worth noting this little indie from Devolver Digital and Doinksoft will leave your heart singing in other ways.

Gunbrella: Nintendo Switch Review

A short burst blast of something somewhat original, Gunbrella sees you out for revenge, after heinous murders rob your of your loves. Armed only with a gun umbrella (eh, eh, eh), this short-but-sweet side-scroller sees you taking charge, taking no prisoners and taking no hassle from anyone as you explore this dystopian steampunk world.

Gunbrella's sensibilities lie in the basics of a solid platformer.

While it takes a little time to master the art of the umbrella usage, it's worth noting that once everything slots into place, it doesn't take long for the gameplay to show off its simplicity and its addictive nature.

Gunbrella: Nintendo Switch Review

The pixel heavy game keeps most of its cards close to its chest, but once the gameplay begins, it soon becomes clear this is something different in ways you'd never expect. Chunky combat mixes with some occasionally tricky platforming, but most of what Gunbrella sets out to do, it achieves.

An intriguing little indie that tries something different, Gunbrella is well worth a blast of your time and efforts.
