Tiger Eyes: DVD Review

Tiger Eyes: DVD Review

Rating: M
Released by Madman Home Ent

Based on the book by Judy Bloom, Tiger Eyes is the story of Davey (Gossip Girl's Willa Holland), who's forced to relocate to New Mexico and is now a stranger in the town she moves to.

Finding her own world in a turmoil after the move, Davey discovers even more tension in the extended family situation she's in - and only discovers comfort in the arms of native American climber, Wolf.

Bordering on the brink of the usual teen cliches and melodramas, Tiger Eyes actually works through a sensitively portrayed situation, a good solid turn from Holland and a vulnerability of life that's put on the screen. Worth sticking with, despite your early fears coming into play, Tiger Eyes remains a surprise for the genre and a film that fell through the cracks.
