Logitech G321 Lightspeed Headset: Review

Logitech G321 Lightspeed Headset: Review

Lower end cost headphones sometimes get the bum end of the deal.

Dismissed as cheap and inexpensive, flimsy and uncaring about expectations, the headsets can sometimes fly under the radar.

Logitech G321 Lightspeed Headset: Review

While the Logitech G321 Lightspeed has a lower pricepoint, it shouldn't be dismissed as being not one to watch or use - in fact, it's very much the opposite case. A very light headset that sits comfortably on the head and embraces the ears, rather than choking them, Logitech's decided its G321 Lightspeed headset will be the kind of tech that's used for long times and long term without any real need to rapidly replace it.

It's the kind of headset you can wear all day without any real feeling of pressure on your head and thanks to its retractable mic, you can even wear them for listening to music without feeling the need to switch to other devices.

Granted, for a lower end price point, you do pay a price in terms of what sounds the set can comfortably pump out and the Logitech G321 Lightspeed may feel a little tinny to audiophiles, but to normal users of such sets, the sound quality is more than adequate to ensure you know exactly what you're listening to without having to strain too much either.

Equally, the retractable mic does a solid job, rather than one that needs to smash boundaries. And unlike many of its ilk, it doesn't feel like it'd snap once you kick it back into place. But you get what you'd expect in terms of quality when you pay what you pay - and the fact this isn't a bad piece of kit for it is a positive.

With light and spongy earcups, the fit is solid and not too uncomfortable, but given the earpieces wrap around your lugs, it offers some passive noise-cancelling that's an unexpected bonus.

Perhaps the real upside to the Logitech G321 Lightspeed is just how independent it is. It really does feel like a headset that gets its 20 hours of battery life, one that can offer you mobility and a flip-to-mute mic that beeps when activated.

Logitech G321 Lightspeed Headset: Review

For the price point and with much lower quality headsets in the marketplace for higher prices, the Logitech G321 Lightspeed is a set that may surprise you with seamless connection and endless chances to forget you're wearing them.
