Star-Studded Soundtrack for The Eternal Life of Goldman Brings Together Acclaimed International Composers
With The Eternal Life of Goldman, developer Weappy presents a hand-drawn platform adventure that aims to set new standards not only visually, but also musically. The game's ambitious soundtrack features an exceptional team of internationally acclaimed composers, including Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss), Mason Lieberman (Overwatch 2), Yasunori Nishiki (Octopath Traveller), and Pete Lepley (Wargroove).
Ahead of the game's demo launch on Steam on February 19, Weappy is offering a first glimpse into the ambitious musical vision behind the title.
At the heart of the score is the game's main theme, composed by Kevin Penkin, who spent more than two years crafting the piece. Over the course of development, the track went through dozens of iterations with the goal of creating something beyond a traditional video game theme. Instead, Penkin composed a multi-part suite consisting of several seamlessly flowing acts that narrate the game's backstory and gently guide players into the beginning of their journey.
The result is a unique composition that deliberately moves away from conventional expectations of video game music, while capturing the layered narrative depth of The Eternal Life of Goldman.
The Eternal Life of Goldman is being developed by Weappy Studio and published by THQ Nordic and will be available for Nintendo® Switch, PS5™, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Pre-Order the game now at JB Hi-Fi, EB Games, Big W and Amazon.
