Table Top Tanks: PS VITA review

Table Top Tanks: PS VITA review

Released by Sony Computer Entertainment
Platform: PS Vita

No sooner do you get one new Augmented Reality game, then another comes along.

Table Top Tanks is the latest to arrive, using the AR Cards to build up a world around you, you have to pilot your tank through a series of missions, blasting a few things and generally, wreaking some havoc.

There's little really to go into with this game - it's the usual, bitesize affair unfortunately. Something akin to the kind of game you'd get on your phone and not one which demands plenty of replays, it's a bit of a misnomer to be honest.

Sure, it plays well and is a bit of fun here and there, but if you're after something long term, then this title may not really be it - there's very little incentive to go back for more once you've finished the missions, unless you want to beat your scores and show it wasn't a fluke the first time around.

It's quite a nice touch that you are able to use real life objects as objects within the game, but aside from that, there's little sensationally outstanding about this title.

Table Top Tanks may bring the wAR but it's a little lacking on the long term strategy and shelf life.
